Wet Paint

Back from a long weekend and lots to report, but I won't bore you with the details... well, okay, maybe a few....

Last Friday (New Year's Eve), we got the kitchen all prepped for painting then went out and actually bought some paint. That afternoon, we got a baby sitter and then went out for some more furnature shopping. Friday evening, my parents brought down my new TV and we got it all hooked up right before the New York New Year's (11 PM our time). Man... what a nice picture... in all of it's 32 inches of glory... And DVD's look even better! Can't wait to try out my Star Wars trilogy set on it! :-)

Saturday we got down to business and got the kitchen actually painted. We used an Antique White color which was just a shade or two lighter than what was on there before, so it only took one coat to cover it. It also looks very nice now and my wife is very happy! Happy wife.... Happy life! :-)

Last night (Monday), our church had a roller skate night at the local rink. That was a lot of fun. I even tried the Limbo and actually made it to the last round before wiping out.... It was also the first time for our two year old to put on skates. We had the wheels tightened so she could still walk with them on, so she liked them pretty good. It took forever to get around the rink with her, but she had a fun time too.

Back on sports, I mentioned our local college b-ball team in my last entry about playing Gonzaga... Well well well! They pulled off a win against them 63-61... I told you it would be a nail-biter! Tonight the team plays American (who?). Hopefully things will go well with that too... Also, our east side of the state pro-football team made it to the wild-card game by winning in overtime, but our west side of the state team failed to go out on a winning note... Always next year! :-)

We're getting some yucky weather this week after having a beautiful spring-like weekend. We're suppose to get rain/sleet/snow... we'll see...

Blessings!
