VCUG Results and more

In my last post, I mentioned about our daughter having to go through a VCUG (you'll have to Google it) procedure on Oct. 1st. Well, that was yesterday and everything went very well. They sedated her just enough to make her loopy as they had to put a catheter in. The results were great as there is no physical problem for her urinary tract infections. So now, were just going to have to be more diligent in behavior modification (things like in how she wipes, more showers instead of baths, drinking more water, etc.).

To catch up a little, we had a great time together with the other church deacons and pastors on our trip to the theatre to see a play called Smokey Mountain Homecoming. It took place around 1938. I was impressed as all but one of the actors actually played a variety of instruments and sang. It was all live music. It was a nice show.

A couple of weeks ago (Sept. 21st actually), I went along with the Jr. High youth group from our church to a Corn Maze. I had never been to one before and it was really fun. We waited until it was almost dark, so we carried around flashlights to help get around. They gave you a map of the maze which helped (if you could keep track) too. They also had checkpoints throughout the maze and you had to answer trivia questions. You turned in your cards when you were done for a drawing for prizes. I'll definitely go back next year.

Going to be taking off a little early this Friday (Oct. 5th) as we're going up to visit my mother-in-law for the weekend. I get along fine with her, so it's no big deal. :-) I just don't like the 3 1/2 hour drive to get there... :-(

Blessings!
